Description

In this short personal essay celebrating the Mexican tradition of El Dia de los Muertos, Kira Jones offers, not only almonds, whiskey and dog bones to her loved ones and her altar, but a glimpse into how one brave soul deals with painful loss. She is working on a full-length memoir about single motherhood, middle life, strong coffee, good pastry, too much driving, strange dreams, and the pursuit of a shack by the sea.
